Sheet Pan Hot Honey Salmon

Overview

Prep Time: 10 min • Cook Time: 20

I am a huge hot honey fan. Hot honey chicken, hot honey on pizza, hot honey on pretty much everything. So it was an obvious choice that I needed to make hot honey salmon! It’s the perfect mix of sweet and spicy and definitely a staple dinner in our house.

what you’ll need:

  • (4) 6 oz pieces of salmon

  • 2 tbs butter

  • 2 tbs honey

  • 2 tbs chili onion crunch (or any other chili crisp)

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

For the sides

  • Sweet potato

  • Asparagus

  • Avocado oil spray

  • Sprinkle of garlic powder

  • Sprinkle of salt

  • Sprinkle of pepper

Instructions:

Start by preheating your oven to 400 degrees.

Chop the sweet potato into cubes and snap the ends off of the asparagus. Place them both on a lined baking sheet, spray with avocado oil, then sprinkle on some garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Place in the oven for 15 minutes. We will be adding on the salmon later to the sheet pan since it takes less time to cook the salmon.

While the asparagus and sweet potato are in the oven we are going to make the hot honey glaze. In a cup add in 2 tbs melted butter, 2 tbs melted honey, 2 tbs chili onion crunch, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp cayenne, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp pepper. Mix really well then brush the glaze on the salmon until all pieces are evenly coated.

Once the asparagus and sweet potato are done with their first 15 minutes in the oven, take them out and add on the 4 pieces of salmon. Place the baking sheet back in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, until the salmon is fully cooked. The cook time will greatly depend on how thick or think your salmon is. During the last minute or so of the cook I like to switch the oven to a broil to get the top of the salmon a nice golden color.

Once the salmon is cooked remove from the oven and serve immediately. Enjoy!

*note: I used sweet potato and asparagus for this meal but honestly any vegetables will go great with this!
